Getting set up

A few accounts in your name. We’ll walk you through every one.

We build, host and look after your website. But some things should belong to you, like the account your payments go into. Here’s exactly what’s involved, how long it takes, and where we help.

Why your own accounts?

Your money goes straight to you

Client payments land in your own account, not ours. We never hold your money.

Your calendar and clients stay yours

Your appointments live in your own calendar, on your own accounts.

Your online sessions are yours

Meeting links, recordings and settings sit in your own Zoom account, and you choose the Zoom plan that suits how long your sessions run.

Your Instagram stays yours

Your posts, followers and account stay in your hands. Your site simply shows your latest posts.

Nothing is locked in with us

If you ever move on, your accounts come with you.

How it works

01

Choose what you need.

Online payments, Instagram, calendar sync, Zoom, WhatsApp: pick only what suits your business.

02

Follow your guide.

Each account has its own short, illustrated guide written for people who don’t “do tech”. Screenshots show you exactly where to click.

03

Paste a few details into your booking settings.

The guide shows exactly which details to copy and where to paste them. You’ll see a green Connected tick when it’s working.

04

We test before you go live.

We make a test booking to check that payments, your calendar and reminders all work.

Your accounts, one by one

01

Payment provider: PayFast, PayPal or Stripe

What it does

Lets clients pay online when they book. The money goes straight into your own account. If you’d rather be paid in person, you can skip this or offer both.

Which one should I choose?

Based in South Africa?

Use PayFast, built for South African businesses, with card and instant EFT options.

Based outside South Africa?

Choose PayPal or Stripe, both widely used for international card payments.

What you’ll do

Open an account and complete the provider’s verification (they’ll usually ask for ID and bank details, and this stays between you and them). Then copy a few details from your account settings and paste them into the Payments tab of your booking settings.

Good to know

Approval can take a few working days, so this is the one to start first. Refunds are one click with Stripe or PayPal; with PayFast you refund in your PayFast dashboard.

02

Instagram

What it does

Your latest Instagram posts appear on your website automatically, so your site always feels current.

What you’ll do

Make sure your Instagram is set up as a free professional account (Business or Creator). Your guide shows how to switch if it isn’t, and it only takes a minute. Then log in to Instagram to approve the connection to your site.

Good to know

Switching to a professional account is free, and your posts and followers stay exactly as they are. You also get useful extras like post insights.

03

Google Calendar

What it does

Bookings appear in your calendar automatically, and anything already in your calendar blocks that time so you’re never double-booked.

What you’ll do

Use the Google account you already have (or create a free one), follow the guide, and paste the details it points you to into the Google Calendar tab of your booking settings. A green tick shows when you’re connected.

04

Zoom

What it does

For online sessions, a Zoom link is created automatically and included in your client’s confirmation.

What you’ll do

Use your existing Zoom account (or create one), follow the guide, and paste three details into the Zoom tab of your booking settings. A green tick shows when you’re connected.

Good to know

Zoom’s free plan limits meetings to 40 minutes. If your sessions run longer, you’ll need a paid Zoom plan, which Zoom bills to you directly.

05

WhatsApp reminders

Optional extra

What it does

Sends booking confirmations and reminders by WhatsApp as well as email, the messages clients are most likely to read.

How it works

We set up a dedicated WhatsApp number for the sole purpose of sending your automated reminders. Clients can’t respond to this number.

What you’ll do

About two minutes: log in to your business’s Facebook (Meta) account to confirm you own the business. Meta requires this from the business owner. We handle everything else.

How long it takes

Meta checks every business before WhatsApp messages can be sent. This usually takes a few days, but can take a few weeks if your business is new to Facebook. Your email reminders work in the meantime.

  • Each booking usually uses 2 messages: a confirmation and a reminder.
  • Need more in a month? Extra messages are R0.90 each, or move up a plan any time.
  • Plans are paid monthly, in advance.
  • If a payment is missed or you reach your limit, reminders switch to email automatically, so your clients are still reminded.
  • Email reminders are always included, with or without WhatsApp.
  • WhatsApp message rates are set by Meta and can change. If they do, we’ll let you know before your plan price changes.

Prefer not to do it yourself?

Let us connect your accounts with you.

Building your website, adding your content, customising your design and setting up your booking system are all included in your annual plan. This optional session is only for connecting your own accounts (payments, Instagram, Google Calendar, Zoom and WhatsApp) if you’d rather not do it alone. We’ll share screens and go through each one together while you click, with a short follow-up once your payment provider has approved your account.

Questions people ask

How long will it take to get my site live?

We aim to have your site live within 48 hours of receiving your content and images. Online payments may take a little longer, while your payment provider (PayFast, PayPal or Stripe) approves your account. WhatsApp reminders usually take a few days to be approved by Meta, and occasionally a few weeks if your business is new to Facebook.

Do I need to be good with technology?

No. If you can log in to online banking, you can do this. Each guide shows every click, and we’re a message away.

Do I need all of these?

No. You only need a payment provider if clients pay online. Instagram and Google Calendar are recommended, Zoom is only for online sessions, and WhatsApp is optional.

Can clients pay me in cash?

Yes. You choose for each service and event: online payment only, pay in person, or both. For example, ask for payment upfront for workshops and let regular clients pay on the day.

Will my payments go through Nunkio?

Never. Online payments go straight from your client into your own payment account.

Do I have to share my passwords or keys with you?

No. You paste your details into your own booking settings, so they never leave your hands.

Can I add something later?

Yes. You can start without Instagram, Zoom or WhatsApp and add them whenever you’re ready.

Do I need a new WhatsApp number or app?

No. We set up a dedicated WhatsApp number just for sending your automated reminders. Clients can’t respond to this number.

What if I get stuck?

Send us a message. We’d much rather help than have you struggle.

Ready when you are.
